GOVERNANCE AND LEADERSHIP

The functioning and governance of the university is participative and democratic. While university maintains its autonomy in academic matters, the financial control is regulated by the State Government. His Excellency the Governor of Rajasthan, in his capacity as Chancellor of all state universities, co-ordinates actions and activities of the university. Registrar is an executive officer of the university while Comptroller is responsible for financial planning, management and control in the university. The apex executive body of the university, the Board of Management is represented by nominated university Professors, Deans, Govt. and Governor’s nominees, elected teacher’s representatives under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. Other statutory bodies like Academic Council, Council of Deans, Staff Council and Departmental Committees are channels for various academic and administrative governance.

            The university administration has now completely adopted to ICT enabled e-governance. All financial activities are now computerized and other administrative functioning is being turned to computerization.

            Financial Management of the University is most efficient and strong. It has three-tier system for scrutiny and audit which includes internal audit, audit by chartered accountants and Auditor General of Rajasthan.

            University has been providing opportunities to its employees for training to sensitize them towards good governance and administration and financial control. All units of the university are working in synchrony in order to achieve a common goal.
